New York Puzzle 100 Years of National Geographic

The National Geographic Society was founded in 1888 in Washington, D.C. Volume One, Number One of National Geographic was published on September 22 of the same year in New Haven, Connecticut, with a cover price of 50 cents.

Over the following 130 plus years, National Geographic featured countless stories by and about legendary scientists and explorers, including Jane Goodall, Sylvia Earle, Robert Peary, Mary and Louis Leakey, Jacques Cousteau, Dian Fossey, Hiram Bingham, Robert Ballard, Amelia Earhart, Bradford Washburn, and many more.
